The Mediator Team
All our family mediators participate in extensive core family mediation training with a Family Mediation Council (FMC) recognised provider and co-work with experienced mediators to gain the practical skills.
Once assessed internally as "Competent to Lead" new mediators can conduct Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAMs) they must also manage (supervised by an experienced, competence assessed mediator) and complete 3 mediation cases and submit a portfolio to the FMC for competence assessment, before they can work as a sole mediator on cases. All mediators are required to participate in CPD activities and appraisal annually and receive regular supervision.
